What is included
Can I borrow a helmet? **
Yes, we have helmets to borrow.
In winter, many people want to wear a hat under their helmet and then need to go up to helmet size. The big helmets may not be enough in these cases. Feel free to bring a buff to wear under your helmet instead of a cap. **What clothes to wear? **
On the feet, the one that fits best according to the weather. You don't need a shoe with a heel because we have “cages” on the stirrups, which make it impossible to slip through the stirrup. Wear comfortable long pants without heavy seams on the inside of your legs as you risk getting abrasions. Thermobyxes are recommended in winter time. The forces of the weather are not something we care about, so adapt your clothes to the weather. We also ride in the rain so you should bring rain clothes with you in case of chance of precipitation.
Helmets are available to borrow. Rainwear and some warm clothes and mittens are available to borrow, but in limited quantities and sizes. **How many are you in a group? **
We book up to 8 riders in the same group but if it is the same company we can accommodate about 12 riders. Is it possible to fix the horse yourself? **
As a participant, you are involved and arrange the horses for the ride if the horses are ok with it. If they feel insecure, let those of us who know the horses take over, for example, when hoeing, saddling and training. Is it possible to book an outdoor trip even if you are only one person? **
Yes, but in some periods we only conduct the tour when at least three or four participants are booked. In this case, this is clearly stated at the time of booking. **Can one have a closed group? **
If you want to ride alone/alone with a leader, we have the best chance to accommodate you on weekdays during the day. A closed group surcharge applies.
You can also book all the seats on one pass and choose for yourself how many of them you want to use for you and your company. Can you hire a horse and ride it yourself? **
No, but maybe it will be relevant for riding school students in 2025. **When do you guys have uterites? **
It is bookable weekday as weekend all year round with the exception of holiday closed for shorter periods. **What is included in fika? **
Coffee, tea, Óboy or lemonade and various kinds of snacks. Is it possible to ride when there is snow and ice? **
In winter, the horses have stingers in their shoes, so that they have a good grip even on icy ground. To prevent snow stilts, horses also have so-called snow soles that push the snow out of their hooves. **Ride in bad weather? **
Rarely is the weather so bad that you are disturbed by it during an ordinary uterite, if you dress properly. Rain, wind, snow, cold and thunder belong as well as the weather in this country. It is often powerful to ride in such weather and lovely to come in later. We don't ride if there's lightning. **How old does one have to be? **
We have different age limits in different ways. Approximately 8 years (exception according to island) on the shorter and 13 years for unaccustomed riders (exception according to island) on the longer one. **How much can one weigh? **
We have a guideline of 80 kg as the maximum weight but some horses should not carry so much weight and others can handle more. It depends a lot on how both the horse and the rider carry themselves. A light but unbalanced, stiff and fearful rider can be much more troublesome for the horse to carry than a heavy but centered and laid-back rider. We are happy to talk about it on the phone if it is borderline cases or doubts.
